MEDITE FR PROVIDES PERFECT SOLUTION FOR DUBAI AIRPORT

The airport is currently undergoing a major expansion with the construction of a new terminal due to open at the end of 2007. Worldwide leaders in manufacturing acoustical ceilings and suspension systems, Armstrong Metal Ceilings had the job of finding the right material for their project. Only Medite FR was able to offer the bespoke solution their clients sought. Project Manager Stefan Unger, of Armstrong Metal Ceilings said: “Our clients requested an unusual thickness of 14mm instead of 12mm but the support we found at Coillte Panel Products who market Medite FR, was great.”

Medite FR was used to clad 45,000 square metres and the unusual thickness and panel size requested for the Dubai Airport project is one of the features that suppliers Coillte, offer by request.

Stefan commented: “We are known for offering innovative solutions for our clients and although I hadn't used Medite FR in projects before I have no complaints and can see the potential of its use in further projects.”

Medite FR Euro Class B & C has been certified for 30 minutes fire resistance of symmetrical non-load bearing partitions. Typical installations include hotel foyers, offices, public libraries, schools, court houses, hospitals, cinemas, discotheques and some shipbuilding applications.
