PARIS OFFICES BENEFIT FROM MEDITE VERSATILITY
13th April 2007 - Press Release
Medite FR flame-retardant MDF Euro Class B panels have been extensively used for wall panelling and ceilings in one of Paris's most prestigious office developments, one of the first in France to be awarded High Energy Quality certification.
The €40 million A4C France project, designed by architect Olivier Clement Cacoub, forms a key part of one of the French capital's largest urban renewal programmes incorporating new housing, shops, offices and schools.
Wood veneered Medite FR - from Medite Europe - has been used in the atrium, auditorium, cafeteria, and corridors of the new offices, whose interiors are constructed on a modular, divideable, and easily maintained basis. In the cafeteria smooth-surfaced Medite MDF has further demonstrated its versatility by being used for bar surfaces.
For the 145-seat auditorium (with stage and screen facilities) mahogany-veneered Medite FR wall panels were grooved to provide optimum acoustic properties. A system of movable panels, aneigre-veneered, has been provided to protect a projection screen located behind the 8m-wide stage.
Medite FR has been used for acoustic wall panelling in a number of major new European concert halls in Dublin, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
